Gert Caspritz

Gert Caspritz  joined NeoMed Management as senior investment professional and partner in September 2008.

From 1999 to 2008 he was an Investment Manager and General Partner at TVM Capital's life science practice in Boston. Prior to that he worked for 18 years at Hoechst AG and its various affiliates (now known as Sanofi-Aventis) in Frankfurt, Germany; Kansas City, KS and Bridgewater, NJ.

His most recent position was Vice President of New Technologies Licensing in the Global Business Development Group, where he also oversaw investments in various life science venture capital funds. During his tenure at Hoechst he also served two years as the Assistant to the Head of Worldwide Research with broad responsibilities for budget, personnel and investments.

Gert Caspritz received a PhD in Biology from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany in 1981. During his tenure at TVM Capital, Gert Caspritz has been a board member of several life science companies, most recently Enanta Pharmaceuticals, Transave and Transmolecular.

Gert Caspritz is a citizen of Germany.
